This is a paper put out last quarter by E&Y on the increasingly bright light being shone on the internal audit function within asset managers. Traditionally the poor cousin of the departments within banks and insurers, internal audit teams in asset managers are having to deal with the increased interest in their companies from the regulator, and are consequently moving front and centre. The increasing pressure on this function means that demand for the best quality is increasing all the time.
