Per Ardua hosted its annual CFO dinner in May with the topic being “transitioning from CFO to CEO”. A number of Group CFOs from across the Financial Services sector attended with Nathan Bostock, Chief Executive Officer of Santander UK plc as our guest speaker. Nathan was previously an Executive Director and Group Finance Director at The Royal Bank of Scotland. He previously held the post of Group Chief Risk Officer, having joined RBS in 2009.
It proved an excellent evening with Nathan providing a number of examples of what may block a CFO from becoming a CEO and how to potentially overcome these, as well as a few anecdotes on what life is like as a CEO.
